Biosphere 2

Biosphere 2 Facility

One of 2 lungs that control the atmosphere within the facility
It is a 3.14 acre glass-enclosed facility
1996, 8 volunteers were sealed in the facility for 2 years.
they did many experments and all of the food was grown and produced inside.
This included chickens and goats.
One interesting thing is that they could only grow enough coffee beans to make one pot of coffee every 2 weeks.

Here are some of the pictures, enjoy

Ocean Laboratory
The Ocean water is from the Pacific Ocean and is

Plane

Sentimental Journey had a total of 30+ combat
Missions.  One of the few planes during WWII that
had the same crew.  The Crew was able to keep it from the
junk pile.  They even were able to come up with the
funding for the hangar that she is kept in.

this was one of the early Blue Angel
Planes.  It was flown from 1958 to 1962.

Yuma is completely surrounded by the canals
One huge agriculture area
